It’s so much fun in the sun! When the sun is out we get to enjoy those beautiful summery feeling days, have a walk in the park, lay down on the grass and sometimes if we are lucky we get a visit from a beautiful red ladybug! For all the ladybug lovers out there here is a cute little pattern for one! 🙂
What you’ll need:
Yarn: Small amounts of any yarn. I used CARON Simply Soft, Worsted weight 100% ACRYLIC 6 oz/170 g – 315 yds / 288m
- Red – COLOR A
- Black – COLOR B
ch | chain |
sc | single Crochet |
st | stitch |
sl st | slip stitch |
*Do not join but work in a continuous rnd.
Foundation rnd: ch 3 plus one starting ch.
Rnd 1: 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1 sc in each of next ch, 4 sc in last ch, continue working other side of foundation rnd, 1 sc in each of next 2 ch. (8 sc not including starting ch)
Rnd 2: 1 sc in each of next 8 sc, Sl st to next sc. (8 sc)
Fasten off; weave in ends.
With B, embroider dots on Ladybug. For the head and antennas cut a 4” long piece of B and fringe in the last st of 2nd rnd. Trim to about 1/2 an inch.
